About Us

Having served in the “Royal Navy” and the “British Police Service” for over 30 years I gained experience covering both operational and organisational leadership, major project management, major procurement, significant change management, technology integration and major event management (e.g. Royal visits). 

My last roles were Special Branch Intelligence Manager where I led and managed a team of 12 intelligence staff to process and disseminate Aviation & Maritime Intelligence in line with national guidelines and objectives. This was followed by OIC Hampshire Constabulary Marine Unit, where I was responsible for all Marine Operations in the Solent area including protection of national infrastructure. This involved taking into account threat levels and risk assessments, formulating and developing strategies and working with partner agencies, all to deliver a security presence and deterrent.

In 2011, I wrote an options paper looking at the future of maritime policing and what vessels would be required. Following presentations to senior police management & politicians, a budget of £1.5m was secured in Jan 2012. The task was to procure, design, set the specification, build and put into operation 4 bespoke police boats by the Summer of 2012. Project completed on time and within budget.

During his long & extensive police career, my background has been as a detective. During this time I developed excellent skills in: communication, gathering & presenting information, risk management, operational management, training & development plus tactical & strategical thought processes to identify and deliver solutions. 

Other skills include: Interview Management, Counter Terrorism Legal Advisor, Team Leadership, Business Management, Intelligence Management and Sail Power & Motorboat skipper. MOD SC vetted until 2026. 

I now use those transferable skills especially communicating with people within the marine industry.
